Overview
Description
Changes in society, such as the growing need for home health, elderly care, and refrigeration, have made it increasingly important to monitor power outages. When power is lost, Wi-Fi often disconnects due to infrastructure breakdowns within the home, leaving residents unaware of the outage.
Combining NB-IoT or LTE Cat-M1 technologies with rechargeable batteries can address this issue. These low-power, wide-area network technologies enable reliable communication even during power outages, ensuring that home and business owners are promptly notified of a main power loss.
System Benefits:
- Low-power MCU with integrated ADC
- NB-IoT, Cat-M1, and Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) certified module
- Light sensor to support filter exchange detection
- Photocoupler for zero-cross timing and monitoring external signals
