Description

With HVAC systems responsible for approximately 40–60% of a building’s energy consumption, the demand for efficient and intelligent climate control is more crucial than ever. Smart central thermostats—equipped with real-time monitoring, wireless connectivity, and user-friendly HMIs such as displays and voice control—empower users to optimize heating and cooling schedules, minimize energy waste, and enhance comfort, all while providing centralized control and monitoring for homes or buildings.

This high-end central thermostat system integrates satellite thermostats for seamless processing, calculation, and control. By interfacing with both indoor and outdoor temperature sensing units, as well as other thermostat systems within the building, it can dynamically adjust individual zones. Additionally, the system leverages Wi-Fi or Bluetooth® to access local weather data, enabling smart and energy-efficient HVAC control.

System Benefits:

  • Ultra-low power wireless modules, supporting Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) or Wi-Fi, ensure intuitive user control while minimizing energy consumption.
  • MPU with a 3D graphics engine (Arm® Mali-G31) drives rich GUIs on high-resolution serial displays, enhancing interaction and feedback.
  • PIR motion sensor enables energy-efficient operation by waking up the display only when users approach the system.
  • AI-capable system enables occupancy detection and monitoring of temperature, humidity, and indoor air quality (IAQ) to automatically activate the HVAC system and ventilation fans.
  • High-performance, ultra-low power Hi-Fi codec with hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) enables clear voice commands and high-quality speaker output for seamless smart voice control.
