Overview

Renesas provides a comprehensive system for industrial motor control, integrating an MPU and MCU for mutual monitoring, along with power supply ICs, delta-sigma (ΔΣ) modulators, and other essential devices. This combination of components enables a streamlined and high-performance approach to motor control, industrial networking, and functional safety, ensuring efficient and reliable operations in industrial environments.

System Benefits​:

  • Configures a high-precision system by combining the MPU with peripheral devices, reducing the need for external components.
  • Utilizes a dual CPU core in the MPU to achieve high-precision motor control and industrial Ethernet communication.
  • Supports major industrial Ethernet protocols such as EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET IRT, and OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA) with a simple configuration requiring minimal external components.
  • Simplifies the creation of a functional safety system with an MPU and one MCU for mutual monitoring.
  • Includes the RZ/T2M Motor Solution Kit for comprehensive evaluation and development.
  • Features the prepared SBEV-RZ/T2M evaluation board from Shimafuji Electric Inc., allowing for the development and evaluation of software for best-in-class real-time control applications.
