Other

Reference Board (IntelliKit) for Automotive Software Engineering for R-Car SoCs

Renesas-based IntelliKit uses the R-Car H3 SoC with a hypervisor-less architecture running RTOS and Android OS for Instrument Cluster (IC) and In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI). It features a full-HD display offering TomTom navigation, weather, multimedia, and HVAC control. With minimal reliance on a hypervisor and Linux kernel, it achieves a fast 300 ms boot time. The two OSs communicate by sharing CAN messages and enable Android health monitoring via a virtual channel.
