  • AIS SDK with fully integrated EMVCo PCD protocol into Android HAL for Soft PoS application
  • Seamless switch between EMVCo (Soft PoS) and NFC Forum operation
  • Surpass with margin EMVCo certification also with NFC integration into challenging environment such as NFC antenna behind display (Tap on Display)
  • High RF performance such as 2W output power directly on the antenna and -80dBc of receiver sensitivity
  • Single solution for multiple application with the support of Android, Linux, RTOS, and Bare Metal OS
  • Faster standards and regulatory compliances and ease-of-manufacturing for shorter time to market

Description

The PTX130R NFC reader IC featuring native support for the Android™ OS operating environment provides an ideal way to add NFC communications capability to embedded computing systems built around a touchscreen display.

In parallel to traditional NFC Forum or Point of Sale (PoS) operations, the PTX130R Android SW stack (based on NCI 2.x) supports also the “Soft PoS” (PoS terminals without secure MCU) and Apple VAS/ECP functionalities (extension module) with the capability to seamlessly switch between them.

The PTX130R features a very high RF output power of up to 2W at the antenna, providing robust interoperability and enabling OEMs to achieve compliance also with the strict requirements of the EMVCo standard for PoS or Soft PoS application, even when operating via an NFC antenna that is placed close to or behind a noisy display.

  1. NFC antenna resistors

I'm confused about resistors that are used to ground NFC antenna pins on PTX100REK, PTX105REK and PTX130REK boards. There's no mention of them in the datasheets and they are not present on PTX105RQC. But PTX105REK has a pair of 910R probably 0603 or 0805 size and PTX100REK/ ...

  2. Internal values of PTR130R in QucsStudio

Hi, there I'm using PTX130R for my POS product. Now I'm using the QucsStudio for matching circuit because the antenna's size I designed is different.  The .sch I found is for PTX100R and PTX105. So I'm not sure about the internal value of PTX130R in QucsStudio ...

  2. Communication via SPI interface fails (no MISO response)

... fail even if the basic SPI transaction shown in this example works. For correct operation of the NFC device also an interrupt signal is required, but usually validation of the reception of that signal can be done while implementing the SDK's HAL layer.
