Overview
Description
This compact, high-performance ceiling fan system is designed for next-generation home appliances, integrating advanced motor control and power factor correction (PFC) within a simplified architecture. Supporting a scalable range of Renesas MCU families, it enables sensorless vector control for BLDC motors and delivers robust PFC performance, ensuring reliable operation even under variable load conditions.
The design supports flexible configurations with either Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth LE connectivity. Both options enable remote control via mobile devices, providing a seamless and adaptable user experience. The Wi-Fi/Bluetooth configuration also incorporates configurable mixed-signal logic to enhance system flexibility and enable smooth integration of motor control with wireless connectivity.
System Benefits:
- Features a compact, high-performance motor control and PFC block powered by the MCU
- Utilizes an efficient BLDC motor drive with sensorless vector control
- Enables reliable operation across a wide speed range, from low to high rotation, thanks to sensorless vector control and robust PFC performance
- Includes a built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth LE module for IoT connectivity
- Configurable mixed-signal logic enhances design flexibility and enables seamless integration of motor control with wireless connectivity
