AI-generated Summary: Burst dimming control uses timers KB3 and RD2 to modulate LED brightness by gating PWM outputs. Timer KB3 generates PWM signals on TKBO00 and TKBO01 pins, which are gated by timer RD2 outputs (TRDIOB1 and TRDIOC1). The duty cycle of RD2 adjusts based on analog input voltages at P22/ANI2 and P147/ANI18, controlling the PWM output period and thus LED brightness. This method enables precise LED dimming by synchronizing PWM signals and gating functions. The sample code runs on RL78/G24 devices with specified clock and voltage conditions, supported by development environments like CS+, e2 studio, and IAR.

AI-generated Summary: The document explains how to implement over-current protection using the forced output stop function of the RL78/G24 timer KB3. It details controlling LED brightness via PWM output and detecting over-current conditions through a comparator and current sensing resistor. When over-current is detected, the timer output switches to a high-impedance state to protect the circuit without CPU intervention. The system automatically cancels the forced stop once the condition clears. It includes hardware configuration, software setup, and sample code for practical implementation, supported by evaluation boards and development environments.

AI-generated Summary: PMBus communication sample software demonstrates master and slave functionalities using the PMBus Master and Slave modules SIS on the RL78/G24 microcontroller. It supports PMBus Specification Rev. 1.4 and SMBus Specification 3.2. The sample runs on the RL78/G24 DC/DC LED Control Evaluation Board, where the master controls LED dimming on the slave board via PMBus commands. The software includes communication formats, command specifications, and application operations such as LED dimming, reading output values, control signals, and write protection. Development environments supported include Renesas CS+ and IAR Embedded Workbench. The document also details hardware setup, software configuration, and operation check conditions.

AI-generated Summary: The RL78/G24 microcontroller controls high-brightness LEDs with independent 3-channel constant current and dimming via DALI communication. It uses PI control for current feedback and supports up to six LED channels with PWM dimming through 16-bit timers, eliminating external ICs and reducing costs. The microcontroller includes power factor correction, overcurrent and overvoltage protection, and supports DALI and DMX512 communication standards. The system integrates volume control, IR remote reception, and full LED control on a single chip, demonstrated on the RL78/G24 DC/DC LED control evaluation board. Included PCB design files are BOM, schematics, and Gerber files.
