Overview
Description
The 5P49V6965 is a member of the VersaClock® 6E programmable clock generator family. The 5P49V6965 is intended for high-performance consumer, networking, industrial, computing, and data-communications applications. The reference clock can come from one of the two redundant clock inputs. A glitchless manual switchover function allows one of the redundant clocks to be selected during normal operation.
Configurations may be stored in on-chip One-Time Programmable (OTP) memory or changed using I²C interface.

5P49V6965 Phase Shift Won't Exceed 110 degrees
Hello I am working with the 5P49V6965 on a custom devboard as well as the 5P49V6965-EVB. I am having trouble getting any of the outputs to have more than 110 degrees phase shift from each other. The Timing Commander software allows me to set higher values but after 110 ...

5P49V6965 vs 5P49V6901
I have a 5P49V6965 in a design that previously used a 5P49V6901. The same configuration used for the 5P49V6901, doesn't appear to be operationally compatible with the 5P49V6965. With the 5P49V6901, I've been able to: Have outputs 3/4 on always on Have exclusive output control of ...

5P49V6965 - Wrong Output
Hi, I have a 5P49V6965 configured with a 25 MHz crystal oscillator. I've checked the crystal oscillator frequency (as best I can) and its 24.9995 MHz. I have checked the Load Capacitors on the crystal and tried many options to change the load, in the event that the ...

The VersaClock® 6E programmable clock generator devices offer a combination of low power, flexibility and performance for a wide range of applications. These features make it ideal for simplifying system design by replacing multiple discrete timing components and reducing bill of materials (BOM). The VersaClock 6E supports operating voltages from 1.8 to 3.3 V, differential (LVPECL/HCSL/LVDS/LP-HCSL) and LVCMOS output types, and fractional dividers to accurately generate virtually any frequency. Products satisfy system requirements from oscillator replacement to PCIe® Gen 1/2/3 and to communications applications, while consuming very little power.
