20-28 Cell Battery Pack (Up to 118V)

Overview

This 20-28 cell battery pack for domestic generators features Renesas’ multi-cell, single-IC battery manager in a daisy-chain configuration, ensuring safe and effective battery life monitoring. It integrates cost-optimized system control from the RA family of 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M MCUs, allowing for scalable battery-pack designs that manage various voltages and interface safely with diverse load devices.

System Benefits​:

  • Highly integrated BMS IC reduces part count and system cost.
  • Core BMS design can be scaled to accommodate a large pack voltage range (42V to 118V), reducing development time for different pack sizes.
  • Bluetooth connectivity can be easily added via the Pmod™ interface
