Overview
Description
The growing need for flexible, safe, and accessible automation—particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises—is driving the adoption of collaborative robots (cobots). Advanced features and functionality, such as AI integration, are increasingly becoming must-haves in these robotic systems.
This cobot system is built on ROS 2, a distributed middleware in which all components are interconnected and information is exchanged via a DDS communication layer. The system uses a vision AI processor to process sensor data, integrate multiple command inputs such as voice and gesture control, and coordinate with the robotic arm in real time.
System Benefits:
- Intelligent vision and voice recognition for video streaming and real-time detection of hand gestures, objects, and voice commands
- Real-time decision-making
- Seamless integration leveraging MXT's single-board computer (SBC) and SpotiQ
