The RZ/G series is a scalable MPU platform featuring either the Arm® Cortex® architecture or RISC-V architecture with advanced graphics, edge AI, video engine, and high-speed interface. The scalable and efficient performance of the RZ/G series is ideal for HMI and IoT edge applications used in industrial, consumer, medical, and infrastructure, including solar inverters and EV chargers.

RZ/G Software Package

The Linux package offered by Renesas contains basic ported and tested software necessary for the industrial segment, for which operation and performance has been verified based on a datasheet. The software package based on Android™ Open Source Project (AOSP) is also provided.

RZ/G Boards & Kits

The RZ evaluation boards are designed with a System-on-Module board (SoM) attached to a carrier board, enabling flexible development across compatible RZ development boards. All module boards comply with the SMARC v2.1 standards. Selected boards are available for online evaluation through Renesas Lab on the Cloud.
