RZ/N1 is a family of scalable and performant Arm® based communication devices that support multiple industrial network protocols and redundant network technologies on a single device. The RZ/N1 contains a dual/single Arm® Cortex®-A7, up to 6MB of SRAM, and a 5-port Gigabit switch with advanced networking features, on-chip security, and leverages the industry proven R-IN engine that improves network performance.

The RZ/N1 is ideal for many industrial applications such as intelligent gateways and protocol converters, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), remote IO units, and networked intelligent endpoints for the Industry 4.0/Industrial IoT realm of applications.

To simplify protocol implementation, the RZ/N1 features a unified protocol communication abstraction layer that allows the user to quickly switch from one protocol to another, all in the same platform.
