Smart Lock with Ultra-Low Power Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Low Energy

Overview

Smart locks are a rapidly growing segment in the home and building automation industries. These locks must communicate with smart home systems via fingerprint recognition or mobile devices using Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi, or NFC. In this design, the GreenPAK™ family of cost-effective NVM programmable devices includes features as motor drivers and LED control, while a high-performance 32-bit MCU supports fingerprint modules with algorithm integration.

System Benefits​:

  • Supports multiple protocols, including Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, and NFC, for seamless connectivity.
  • Features the smallest and lowest-power Bluetooth 5.1 system-on-chip (SoC) and an ultra-low power Wi-Fi SoC, ideal for battery-powered IoT devices.
  • Includes a highly integrated NFC reader IC and a programmable mixed-signal matrix, enabling innovators to consolidate multiple system functions into a single custom circuit.
  • Offers a high-performance 120MHz MCU with a low pin count for efficient fingerprint algorithm integration.
