IoT Communications Gateway Hub

Overview

This design serves as a communication gateway for a doctor monitoring system, automatically syncing patient health data with a doctor. Patient monitoring devices communicate with the gateway via long-range Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) or contactless near field communication (NFC). The gateway translates this data for direct transmission to the doctor or to an on-premise or cloud-based analytics system.

System Benefits​:

  • Bridges local communication protocols (NFC, Bluetooth LE) with IP networks and cloud systems (Wi-Fi, LTE)
  • Delivers MPU class performance with software development in an RTOS, enabling fast boot times and easy porting of MCU codebases
  • Includes a universal 15W AC/DC adapter optimized for 5V application loads
