Demo Firmware

The pre-installed firmware update feature allows updates by writing this firmware to a microSD card. In addition, the latest version of the firmware and source code are published on the Github site.

    The standard included demo is a sports game called Eyecatcher, highlighting the type of display that can be developed using the free emWin GUI tool and RX72N LCD display functions.

    A firmware update function is installed, and you can add features such as storage, cryptographic throughput, and AWS integration by updating to the latest firmware.

HMI Solution Board with High-end 32-bit MCU RX Family

By using the Envision Kit with a 32-bit single-chip RX72N MCU on it, the demo can be operated via voice command, perform audio playback, and has a GUI display with WQVGA (480x272) on RTOS simultaneously. Renesas' original RXv3 core, which achieved a 5.90 CoreMark/MHz high score, delivers industry-leading performance, power efficiency and responsiveness. High CPU performance enables upgrade functionality even after product release and firmware can be downloaded from Renesas' website to program existing RX72N Envision Kits.
