Overview
Description
The V850ES/Jx3-L is a 32-bit single-chip microcontroller that includes the V850ES CPU core and peripheral functions such as ROM/RAM, timer/counters, serial interfaces, an A/D converter, and a D/A converter and enables an extremely high cost-performance for applications that require super low power consumption, such as digital cameras, electrical power meters, and mobile terminals.

... hardware manual in English, and present there Japanese version is outdated: U18953CA2V0UD00 Mar.01.09 Rev.2.00. Most recent version in English I could find on dvd from V850ES/Jx3-L Low Power Demonstrator : U18953EJ5V0UD00 (5th edition), December 2009. May be I've missed something.Best regards,Maxim.
