Description
The RRA71180 provides high-accuracy current sensing in a compact, cost-effective package. This voltage-output current sense amplifier accurately measures the differential voltage across an external shunt resistor and converts it into a ground-referenced output for easy integration into power monitoring and control systems. Its wide common-mode input range of -0.2V to +26V supports both high-side and low-side current measurements in 12V and 24V applications.
Designed for seamless integration into existing designs, the RRA71180 features an alternate pin configuration with the output located on pin 4 and the non-inverting input located on pin 1, providing additional flexibility for PCB layout and routing. Fixed-gain options of 20V/V, 50V/V, 100V/V, and 200V/V are provided through an integrated precision-matched resistor network, delivering excellent accuracy with minimal gain error and temperature drift. Operating from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply and consuming only 260µA typical quiescent current, the device is ideal for always-on current, power, and energy monitoring applications where every microamp counts.
