Description
The RAA2P4524 is a high-speed, magnet-free inductive position sensor IC designed for absolute rotary position sensing in safety-critical automotive steering applications. It operates on the principle of eddy currents, detecting the position of a simple metallic target moving above a set of coils, consisting of one transmitter coil and four receiver coils.
This configuration enables precise and redundant measurement of two independent angles. The device supports the SPC interface, providing flexible and efficient communication with automotive ECUs.
With support for safety requirements up to ASIL-D, the RAA2P4524 is ideally suited for demanding applications such as steering angle sensors, torque-only sensors, and torque angle sensors.
