Overview

Description

The design tool enables users to generate, simulate, optimize, and predict the linearity error of the sensing element. It is built on a flexible, template-based architecture that supports various motion types, including rotary, arc, and linear movements. Templates are further categorized by configuration type.

Each user is provided with a dedicated workspace accessible through MyRenesas. This workspace enables users to simulate sensing elements, track both current and past simulations, review results, and download Gerber files for PCB manufacturing.

The typical workflow begins with selecting a Renesas inductive position sensor IC—whether single, dual, or redundant. Users then choose a template based on the desired motion type and geometry before running the simulation. Once initiated, the tool delivers a performance-optimized sensing element along with a precise inductance estimation for the transmitter coil. During the simulation, users benefit from a 3D dynamic visualization of the selected template, real-time inductance estimation, and predicted input signal voltages generated using machine learning models.
