Description
The RAA2P4500 is a magnet-free, inductive position sensor IC designed for absolute rotary, linear, or arc position sensing in automotive applications. It operates on the principle of eddy currents, detecting the position of a simple metallic target moving above a set of coils, consisting of one transmitter coil and two receiver coils.
This architecture enables precise and accurate position measurements, making it ideal for low-speed automotive systems such as pedal position sensing, gear shifter detection, and steering angle monitoring. Its robust, magnet-free design ensures reliable performance in harsh automotive environments, offering a durable and cost-effective alternative to traditional magnetic sensing technologies.
