Smartphone-Based Tracking for Flexible Global Locationing

Crowd-sourced Locationing (CSL) is supported by Apple's iOS-based Find My® network and Google's Android-based Find My Device network. Using these services, owners of iPhones and Android smartphones, respectively can register a product as lost/stolen and then locate and recover it using location reporting from 3rd party smartphones (approx. 3Bn iPhone, 3Bn Android).

These services utilize either CSL tags (ex. AirTags) attached to the product or CSL integrated into the product to beacon to parsing smartphones their identity. If the product has been reported lost/stolen then the smartphone is able to report its own location (in proximity with the lost product) and the network is then able to inform the owner of the product and, if not in close proximity, show its location on the owner's smartphone map.

Support for Google and Apple Find My Networks

We offer SDKs for Google Find My Device and Apple Find My Network as well as a combined SDK to support the system appropriate for the end platform being leveraged. These SDKs ensure protocol compliance and, subject to Google/Apple terms of use, has comprehensive documentation and support to help you through demo evaluation and Google/Apple registration of your final design.

CSL can be integrated directly into any system architecture with an MCU or without, and for products with no existing electronics, adding a CSL board and a battery enables its locationing capabilities- making integrating CSL into any system effortless. With our Bluetooth® LE SoCs, certified modules, SDKs, reference designs, and guides for registering with Apple/Google, we offer comprehensive support as well as cost-competitive eBOM solutions for your CSL needs.
