Overview
Description
The ZSC31014 evaluation kit provides the hardware required for the configuration, calibration, and evaluation of the ZSC31014 sensor signal conditioner (SSC) IC. A user's PC can communicate with the ZSC31014 IC mounted on the ZSC31014 SSC evaluation board through the SSC communication board via a USB connection. The evaluation board can be connected either to a user's sensor or to the SSC sensor replacement board (SRB). The SRB serves as a substitute for an actual sensor and can be used for initial calibration or dry-run calibration. On the SRB, the emulated resistive sensor signal is adjusted using a potentiometer. As an alternative, a sensor replacement circuit integrated on the evaluation board can be selected using onboard jumpers. The kit also includes a small unpopulated test board to facilitate user prototyping and hardware development.

Evaluation kits generally consist of three parts: a communication interface board, a device board, and a sensor simulator board - all connected together. A sophisticated software GUI accompanies the kit, enabling an engineer to learn how to use the part rapidly, do quick prototyping, and practice calibrations.
