DDR5 Gaming DIMM

Overview

As gaming evolves, customization becomes paramount in the industry. Renesas addresses this demand with its DDR5 system, featuring serial presence detect (SPD) hubs, power management integrated circuits (PMICs), temperature sensors, and a control MCU. This system enables extensive addressable RGB (ARGB) lighting customization with millions of colors, ensuring enhanced user experience and performance optimization.

System Benefits​:

  • 48MHz Arm® Cortex®-M23 MCU provides an I3C interface up to 4.6Mbps.
  • High precision, low power, and small footprint optimized for efficient operation in DDR5 RDIMMs, LRDIMMs, and high-end gaming DIMMs.
  • SPD hub allows the DDR5 system control bus to scale significantly beyond previous generations and enables a new class of data center equipment.
  • PMIC maximizes DDR5 memory performance, density, and reliability while reducing overall system power consumption.
