Kitchen Range Hood with 2D Touch Sensor

Overview

This kitchen range hood design utilizes Renesas' capacitive touch sensing technology (CTSU) for touchless control. The MCU provides a complete solution in a single chip, featuring an integrated 16-bit SAR ADC, 24-bit sigma-delta ADC, touch control, and lower power performance. Additionally, the combination of high-performance power and analog systems from LDO and op amps can be utilized in other home appliances like washing machines and IH cooking heaters that require touch panel functionality.

System Benefits:

  • Built-in high-touch sensitivity CTSU supports touch key and 2D gesture input. Its improved noise immunity, sensitivity, and water resistance make it ideal for consumer electronics used in wet environments, such as kitchens or bathrooms.
  • High-performance LDO and op amps enhance functionality.
