The RH850/F1x 144-pin Piggyback Board supports all devices of the RH850/F1L, RH850/F1K, RH850/F1KM-S2, and RH850/F1KM-S4 series in a 144-pin package. It can be used standalone or in combination with the mainboard of the RH850 Evaluation Platform. The modular RH850 Evaluation Platform, consisting of mainboards and piggyback boards, is a platform for evaluating the features and performance of Renesas 32-bit RH850 microcontrollers.

- External clock circuit with an exchangeable 8MHz, 16MHz, or 20MHz Crystal Resonator
- Sub-clock 32.768KHz
- 8x Signal LEDs
- 14-pin Renesas Debug Connector to connect a Renesas or 3rd-party emulator
- offering LPD (1-pin/4-pin) and JTAG debug connection support
- offering serial Flash programming support for the RH850 on-chip Flash memory
- Each pin of the device is accessible via a 2.54 mm pitch connector (single row)
- Reset circuit/switch
- Jumpers for device mode selection
