Overview
Description
The ZSSC3xxx sensor replacement board (SRB) is an accessory board included in select Renesas ZSSC3xxx sensor signal conditioner (SSC) evaluation kits. It simulates a variable resistive sensor signal, enabling evaluation, configuration, and calibration of the ZSSC3xxx SSCs without requiring a physical sensor.
The board incorporates two onboard potentiometers that emulate sensor behavior and provide adjustable input signals for the SSC under evaluation. With an internal resistance of 2kΩ, the SRB is ideal for initial device evaluation, software familiarization, demonstration purposes, and dry-run calibration while the final sensor design is still under development.
The ZSSC3xxx SRB is included with compatible SSC evaluation kits and can also be ordered separately.

A brief introduction and overview of IDT's (acquire by Renesas) sensor signal conditioner evaluation kits. Evaluation kits generally consist of three parts: a communication interface board, a device board, and a sensor simulator board - all connected together. A sophisticated software GUI accompanies the kit, enabling an engineer to learn how to use the part rapidly, do quick prototyping, and practice calibrations.
