- White PaperDeveloping a compliant IO-Link sensor or actuator can require significant hardware, software, and validation effort. The Renesas modular IO-Link device platform combines the RH4Z2502 single-channel transceiver, an RA2 microcontroller, and a ready-to-use IO-Link device stack library. Developers can begin with a preconfigured demonstrator, then move efficiently to a customized, production-ready design with lower integration effort, reduced licensing costs, and greater flexibility.
- Manual - Development ToolsThe RH4Z250x-PMOD evaluation board accelerates IO-Link device development by connecting the RH4Z250x IO-Link transceiver to MCU evaluation boards through a standard Pmod interface. Integrated protection, configurable voltage regulation, wake-up support, diagnostics, and IO-Link communication enable evaluation of industrial sensor and actuator applications. This manual explains board features, hardware setup, jumper settings, connectors, and interface connections.
- PCB Design FilesDesign files for the RH4Z2502-PMOD IO-Link transceiver extension board include the Altium Designer project, schematic PDF, bill of materials (BOM), Gerber data, and pick-and-place files. These resources support board evaluation, customization, manufacturing, and design reuse, enabling efficient development of IO-Link devices based on the RH4Z2502 transceiver.
- GuideThe IO-Link Device Stack Library enables rapid development and evaluation of IO-Link devices using Renesas RA microcontrollers and the RH4Z2502 IO-Link transceiver. It provides the software infrastructure required for device communication and demonstrates implementation through a configurable sample application. This quick start guide describes the required hardware and software, programming workflow, evaluation setup, and procedures for validating IO-Link communication and process data exchange.
