Personal Information Generally
We may collect your personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") when you use any of our Websites or interact with us in person. We respect all Personal Information we collect, whether it be from our customers, users, partners, employees, or applicants. Personal Information may be collected and used when you request technical support for your Renesas products. Personal Information may be necessary to identify your products or systems, understand the configuration of the products, diagnose your questions, and provide solutions.
Online Surveys and Polling
We may provide you the opportunity to complete surveys or participate in polls on any of our Websites. If you participate, we will request certain Personal Information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose Personal Information. The requested Personal Information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip or postal code).
Personal Information may be collected and used when you enter a contest or other promotion. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If we are made aware we have collected Personal Information from a child under 13 years old in a manner that is inconsistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), we will delete this Personal Information as soon as possible.

While Renesas does not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur, Renesas does take care in maintaining the security of your Personal Information and in preventing unauthorized access to it, both during transmission and once it is received. Data Collection and Transfer outside the EU/EEA
Our Websites are operated and administered globally by Renesas Electronics Corporation or its affiliated entities. This means that your Personal Information may be collected and processed by Renesas entities or (on their behalf) by third party service providers outside the European Union ("EU") or the European Economic Area ("EEA"). The data protection regulation in the relevant countries where your Personal Information is collected or processed might deviate from the level of protection granted by legislation in the EU/EEA. However, Renesas will ensure the adequate protection of your Personal Information in accordance with the applicable laws and the principles set out herein.
