Touchless voice interfaces are increasingly expected in IoT and endpoint products, yet the cost and complexity of implementing them often gives designers pause. This hands-on lab cuts through that complexity by demonstrating how the Renesas and Cyberon DSpotter integration delivers a turnkey voice UI solution capable of running on a small MCU — no cloud connection required — while leaving headroom for the principal application. The session moves through a review of the VUI template and tools, making simple modifications to an existing template, and starting a fresh project from scratch to show just how accessible speech recognition can be to incorporate into a product design.
