Overview
PX5 provides industry-leading solutions for embedded development, including the PX5 RTOS, PX5 FILE, and PX5 NET. All certified for use in safety-critical applications requiring IEC 61508 SIL 4, IEC 62304 Class C, ISO 26262 ASIL D, and EN 50128 SW-SIL 4 designs.
The PX5 RTOS is an advanced, 5th-generation RTOS that features a native implementation of the industry standard POSIX pthreads API as well as best-in-class size and performance. PX5 RTOS was rated as the fastest RTOS in the 2024 RTOS Performance Report.
PX5 NET is an ultra-small dual IPv4 and IPv6 TCP/IP networking stack featuring a native implementation of the BSD Sockets API. PX5 NET delivers high performance, achieving near-wire-speed throughput with minimal processing cycles, making it ideal for the most demanding real-time networking needs in embedded systems. As for safety and security, it offers buffer overflow detection and verification of packet structure, function pointers, sockets, and the stack.
PX5 FILE is an embedded FAT-format file system with a native implementation of the industry-standard Linux file API. It also provides high performance through user-specified sector, FAT entry, and sub-directory entry caches. For safety and security, it offers optional runtime fault tolerance and verification of function pointers, file handles, and the stack.
All solutions are available today on the full range of the RA and RX Family of MCUs, RZ Family of MPUs, and RISC-V Family of MCUs and MPUs.
