Overview

Description

The RTKA489EPRDK0000BU (RTK-G015-EPRSinkCharger-240W) evaluation kit incorporates advanced safety features and an efficient 3-level DC/DC buck controller to reduce heating and BoM cost. It supports modes that allow power from the USB Type-C® port and enable a power bank in combination with a 2- to 7-cell lithium-ion battery (in series) with the battery management system (BMS).

Due to some losses in the cable, onboard charger, and board, the USB Power Delivery (USB PD) port manager compensates for USB Type-C input level to ensure optimal battery charging operation. Switches on the evaluation board allow you to select the number of batteries in series and the charging current.

Firmware (software) for this evaluation board is generated by an instruction tool called VIDWriter.

RTKA489EPRDE0000BU is the evaluation board included in the RTKA489EPRDK0000BU kit.
