Description
The ISL73849MEVAL2Z4 evaluation board showcases the capabilities of the ISL73849M radiation tolerant, PWM controller with PMBus interface for the AMD XQRVC1902 system-on-chip (SoC). Designed for demanding point-of-load power applications, the board features a four-phase power solution that accepts a wide input range of 4.5V to 13.2V and delivers up to 150A at a 0.8V output. Convenient input/output connectors, accessible test points, and configurable jumper settings make this platform intuitive and efficient for performance benchmarking and design validation.
Additionally, the output voltage can be dynamically adjusted from 0.2V to 1.2V by modifying the VREF through PMBus on the fly, enabling flexible evaluation under varying load conditions. When adjusting VREF, always ensure the voltage rating of the installed output capacitors is not exceeded to prevent component damage.
