Overview

Description

The R8C/38E, F, G, and H are limited to customers who have already adopted these products. The RL78/F12, F13, F14, F15 Groups are recommended for new designs.

The R8C/38E Group, R8C/38F Group, R8C/38G Group, and R8C/38H Group of single-chip MCUs incorporate the R8C/Tiny Series CPU core, employing sophisticated instructions for a high level of efficiency. With 1Mb of address space, and it is capable of executing instructions at high speed. In addition, the CPU core boasts a multiplier for high-speed operation processing.

Power consumption is low, and the supported operating modes allow additional power control. These MCUs are designed to maximize EMI/EMS performance. Integration of many peripheral functions, including multifunction timer and serial interface, reduces the number of system components. The R8C/38E Group and R8C/38F Group have a single channel CAN module and are suitable for LAN systems in vehicles and for FA. The R8C/38G Group and the R8C/38H Group do not have CAN modules. The R8C/38E Group and the R8C/38G Group have data flash (1KB × 4 blocks) with the background operation (BGO) function.

  2. (R8C) Are there any hardware precautions for accurate A/D conversion?

In order to perform A/D conversion, it is necessary to fully charge the internal capacitor, but if the impedance of the A/D conversion target is high, the discharge and charge will take time and the conversion value will not be accurate. For correct A/D ...

  3. What is the differences between the R8C Family and the M16C/60 Series

The R8C Family doesn't support JMPS and JSRS instructions. These instructions branch to the program set from F0000h to FFFFFh block number, but the R8C Family has no ROM in this area, so you can't use these.
