Overview

Description

The DA16200 system-on-chip (SoC) is the world's first Wi-Fi SoC to deliver year-plus battery life for always-connected Wi-Fi IoT devices. DA16200 is a low power Wi-Fi networking SoC that delivers a dramatic breakthrough in battery life even for devices that are continuously connected to the Wi-Fi network. In most applications, one year plus battery life is achievable. There is no tradeoff in output power or range, as the SoC's range is industry-leading. The chip also features very strong IoT security, including WPA3 and TLS for authentication and encryption at Wi-Fi and higher stack layers. The DA16200 is a full offload device, meaning the entire Wi-Fi and TCP/IP networking stack and even end product application code can run on-chip with no external CPU or MCU required. Alternatively, a small inexpensive MCU can send the DA16200 commands and the SoC will still perform the full offload networking stack functions.

The DA16200 modules are the perfect complement to the DA16200 ultra-low power Wi-Fi SoC.

  1. DA16200

Hi, I'm using external MCU and DA16200 module with AT-commands. 1.When i sent AT+DPM=1 to DA16200 module go to which sleepmode and how to wakeup? and also at the time (in sleep)wifi and socket communication connected or disconnect. Please explain. Thanks

  2. DA16200

Hello    regading the wifi module familly, are the FC9050 based on the DA16200 chipset ?  I would like to compare the power consumption of this module versus competitor (like espressif) to try wining some design against this very agressive competitor, to highlight the power consumption of the FC9050 or DA16200 chipset ...

FAQs

  1. How fast can DA16200 wake up from Sleep mode 3 to RX ready state?

DA16200 goes to DPM sleep with the connection information between AP and Server. Thus, the chip can process Rx during DPM sleep state. About 70 ms is required to be ready for WLAN initialization after wake-up. Each system application and user application will take slightly longer depending on implementation.

  2. What will DA16200 SDK do if the AP is powered off

If the DA16200 has disconnected from the home AP due to following two main reasons, DA16200 tries to recover connection with AP after an initial try for 30 seconds, and the DA16200 operates as abnormal DPM to recover connection and save power. Examples are listed below: Lost AP beacon due ...

  3. How many stations connect to DA16200 Soft-AP?

DA16200 Soft-AP mode supports up to 6 station connections. Note: DHCP server lease IP count can be set more than 6, but only 6 stations can connect to DA16200 Soft-AP. Thus, the maximum number of stations to be connected could be varied depending on DHCP server configuration
