Current Sense Amplifiers

Current sense amplifiers enable accurate monitoring of current flow within power rails—supporting protection, control, and optimization across a wide range of systems. The portfolio includes both analog output current sense amplifiers and digital output digital power monitors (DPMs), addressing diverse sensing and monitoring requirements.

Analog current sense amplifiers (also called current shunt amplifiers) measure current by amplifying the small voltage developed across a sense resistor, delivering an output proportional to load current. Devices support high‑side and low‑side sensing and unidirectional measurements for flexible placement within power architectures.

Digital power monitors combine current and voltage sensing with an integrated analog‑to‑digital converter to deliver digital feedback directly to the host system. These highly integrated solutions support high‑side, low‑side, and bidirectional monitoring, offering fast response, serial interfaces, and robust common‑mode voltage performance for advanced power‑management designs.
