Overview
Description
The Gear Shifter reference design circuit manages electronic gear selection using a microcontroller-based system (MCU) and inductive position sensing (IPS). It integrates power regulation, input decoding, and CAN communication for seamless vehicle interaction. The RL78/F13 MCU reads and processes gear position signals from the RAA2P4500 IPS, which detects shifter position via eddy current principles for high accuracy and durability in harsh environments. The MCU interprets this data and controls actuators or signals the transmission system to ensure reliable gear engagement.
Features
- Low consumption current MCU is designed for automotive applications.
- Inductive position sensor ensures accurate, contactless position detection for precise gear selection.
