Overview
Description
The ZSSC3240 evaluation kit provides the hardware required for the configuration, calibration, and evaluation of the ZSSC3240 sensor signal conditioner (SSC) IC. A user's PC can communicate with the ZSSC3240 IC mounted on the ZSSC324x evaluation board through the SSC communication board via a USB connection. The evaluation board can be connected either to a user sensor or to the SSC sensor replacement board (SRB). The SRB serves as a substitute for an actual sensor and can be used for initial calibration or dry-run calibration. On the SRB, the emulated resistive sensor signal is adjusted using a potentiometer.
The boards can also be ordered separately. To facilitate product comparisons, this kit is compatible with selected Renesas devices. Contact your local sales representative for more information.

Features
- I²C, SPI, and OWI communication interfaces enable quick and easy configuration and calibration of the ZSSC324x SSC.
- The ZSSC324x evaluation board supports direct connection to a user sensor module or to the SSC sensor replacement board (SRB).
- A potentiometer on the SRB controls a voltage that simulates a sensor signal ranging from 2mV to 110mV, which can be applied to the analog front end of the ZSSC324x (INP and INN pins) for evaluation of basic features or for demonstrating a dry-run calibration.
- Modular design allows reuse of kit components for evaluation of select ZSSC324x products.
- Clamshell 24-PQFN socket for ZSSC324x IC under test (DUT) facilitates testing multiple DUTs without soldering.
