Description
The μPD720115 is a 4-port USB 2.0 hub controller that complies with the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Specification Revision 2.0 and operates at up to 480Mbps. The device incorporates Renesas’ market-proven design expertise in USB 2.0 interface technologies and market-proven USB 2.0 hub core. It integrates several commonly required external components, making it ideally suited for applications with limited PCB space. In addition, the μPD720115 incorporates Renesas’ low-power technologies and supports all mainstream battery charging specifications.
The RTKA720115DE0000BU (previously named ET-uPD720115-0002) 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub uses the µPD720115K8-701-BAL-A hub controller. This plug-n-play hub expands four USB 2.0 ports from a PC’s USB 2.x port. No specific driver is required for a common OS.
