Overview
Description
This product is an evaluation kit for AC power line communication for developing software and evaluating systems compatible with Renesas' PLC modem IC R9A06G037. This product is a complete evaluation platform comprising the analog front end and control MCU required for AC power line communication.
The control MCU (RX631) has firmware compatible with SimpleMAC GUI (PHY performance evaluation tool) written, and the PLC modem LSI R9A06G037 is controlled from a PC using SimpleMAC GUI. (To evaluate PLC communication, two or more units of this product are required.)

- The J70D1 CPX3 Evaluation Kit has a circuit configuration which includes the PLC modem device, the control MCU and the AFE required for power line communication.
- The evaluation board is composed of the following three boards. The main board is composed of 1) and 2).
- PLC board: PLC modem device (CPX3:R9A06G037) and AFE device (NJM45001)
- BASE board: Power circuitry and control MCU (RX631)
- Filter board: Receive filter for CENELEC-A, FCC, Global(30kHz-500kHz) frequency bands
- Main unit outer dimensions: 120×76×44 mm

- CENELEC-A : 35.9375kHz - 90.625kHz
- CENELEC-B : 98.4375kHz - 121.875kHz
- FCC : 154.6875kHz - 487.5kHz
- Power line voltage: AC 100-230V
- Power supply: External power supply via AC adapter (rated 5V/3.0A) [Note: AC adapter is not included]
Note:
The AC adapter is not included. Please prepare an AC adapter that complies with the laws and regulations of the environment you use. Following AC adapters have been verified to not degrade communication performance.
