Overview

Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems require a powerful microprocessor (MPU) like Renesas' RZ/V2M for artificial intelligence. Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor for AI (DRP-AI) hardware IP dedicated for high-speed AI inference and accuracy is mandatory. One major differentiator is fast wireless communication to enhance this solution with high data throughput. This solution contains a SMARC system-on-module (SoM), an M.2 Type E CL2440 module offering Wi-Fi 5 plus an off-the-shelf camera module, all plugged onto a carrier board.
