We will show you the key features of Renesas’ RZ/G3E microprocessor, focusing on its low-power mode and fast resume capability through a hands-on demonstration.
The RZ/G3E evaluation board is connected to a Windows PC, and a current measurement program is used to monitor power consumption across each power domain. After Linux boots, the system transitions to sleep mode, shutting down multiple power domains completely while keeping DDR in self-refresh mode to retain the Linux image. As a result, power consumption is significantly reduced, which can be clearly observed in the graphs.
