Description
The RL78/G24 microcontroller has the highest processing performance of the RL78 family of MCUs, with a CPU operating frequency up to 48 MHz and a flexible application accelerator (FAA). In addition, the enhanced analog functions and an abundance of timers make it a good fit for motor control, power supply, and lighting applications. The FAA is a co-processor dedicated to arithmetic operations, and can be operated independently of the CPU, delivering higher processing power.
A rich development environment is also provided for the RL78/G24, including an evaluation board (Fast Prototyping Board), where simply connecting a USB cable enables program writing/debugging without additional tools, and a kit specialized for initial evaluation of solutions for motors, power supplies, and lighting, and Smart Configurator, which facilitates design using GUI. It is also compatible with the existing RL78 Family and can be a seamless replacement, making it suitable for a wide range of applications from home appliances and consumer electronics to industrial equipment.
