Description
Smart Analog IC301 has a built-in instrument amplifier and D/A converter. It is suitable for battery-operated home appliances, industrial applications and healthcare equipment.
The RAA730301 is a monolithic programmable analog IC that supports low voltages and features a range of on-chip circuits such as an instrumentation amplifier, a D/A converter, and a temperature sensor, allowing the RAA730301 to be used as an analog front-end device for processing minute sensor signals. The RAA730301 uses a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) to allow external devices to control each on-chip circuit, enabling a more compact package and a reduction in the number of control pins. The compact package used by the RAA730301—a 48-pin LQFP—in turns enables a more compact set design.

- DatasheetRAA730301 Monolithic Programmable Analog ICRECOMMENDED
- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document compares Smart Analog IC 300 with the Smart Analog IC 500 series, highlighting key functional differences such as amplifier configurations, input modes, and operating voltage ranges. The Smart Analog IC 300 offers six configurable amplifier types, including a general amplifier with two channels, unlike the IC 500. It supports configurable input modes and operating modes per amplifier, whereas the IC 500 has fixed settings. Various circuit examples using the general amplifier configuration of IC 300 are provided, including buffer amplifiers, integrators, log amplifiers, half-wave rectifiers, peak detectors, and low-pass filters.
- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The hardware setup for sensor evaluation using Smart Analog Easy Starter requires a sensor board, evaluation board, computer, and USB cable. Power can come from USB or an external supply, with external power recommended to reduce noise. The sensor output is amplified and A/D converted by Smart Analog IC and RL78/G1A, then sent to the computer via USB for display. Software setup involves launching Easy Starter, detecting the virtual serial port, and configuring analog circuit parameters in the Chip Config window.
- Application NoteAI-generated Summary: The document outlines the development procedure for Smart Analog Systems using SA-Designer with the RX family. It details the hardware setup including the GR-SAKURA evaluation board and RX63N Smart Analog IC, and the software environment comprising SA-Designer and CubeSuite+. The development process involves designing the analog front-end circuit, programming source codes for system operation, registering circuit data into CubeSuite+, and performing operation checks using an emulator. Instructions for starting SA-Designer and creating new circuit designs are also provided.
