Overview
Description
The Renesas RA4C1 32-bit MCU group features the low-power, Arm® Cortex®-M33 (CM33) core with TrustZone® to deliver an ideal balance of low voltage operation, low power consumption, and high performance. The RA4C1 offers operation down to 1.6V, combined with a low-power standby current of as little as 1.73µA and a multitude of low-power features enabling the user to dynamically optimize power/performance to their application requirements.
The RA4C1 integrates an advanced security engine offering isolation from improper access from the CPU or a debugger, and offers a 128-bit unique ID, secure key management, and acceleration for AES, ECC, and SHA algorithms. This security feature secures data from cyberattacks and complies with the latest legislation.
Many low-power features are included in the RA4C1 MCUs, such as segment LCD display drive, RTC with a high-precision mode, ADC, and timers, as well as integrated communications interfaces such as CAN FD, I2C, SPI, and low-power UARTs. All these built-in features make the RA4C1 MCUs ideal for metering applications such as power, gas, and water meters, as well as many industrial automation, home appliances, smart home, consumer, and building/home automation applications.
The RA4C1 comes in a range of 64-pin or 100-pin LQFP packages and offers support for operating temperatures of -40°C to 105°C. The RA4C1 MCUs are fully supported by the Renesas Flexible Software Package and a comprehensive set of hardware and software development tools.
