Overview
Description
The PTX105R is a highly optimized NFC controller designed for compact IoT applications. It features superior sensitivity, precise digital sine wave shaping, and a reduced bill of materials compared to traditional square-wave NFC controllers. These advantages enable enhanced interoperability, streamlined FCC certification, and faster NFC Forum compliance.
The PTX105R also supports full end-to-end IoT go-to-market (GTM) integration through its compatibility with the RA microcontroller ecosystem. It is available via hardware modules on the QuickConnect platform and is also supported through the Arduino shield platform, enabling faster prototyping and deployment.
Benefits:
- Easier to achieve interoperability with the broader set of more demanding NFC device form factors
- Reliable NFC coupling in challenging operating environments, or with small form factor antenna
- Supports operation through an antenna typically 4-5 times smaller than that required by conventional NFC readers
- Fewer external components for bill-of-materials cost and space savings
- Comprehensive IoT go-to-market support for accelerated prototyping and deployment
Features
- Output power up to 1W @5V
- Very high Receiver sensitivity (-80dBc)
- Sine Wave output
- Accurate Digital Wave Shaping
- Removal of second resonating structure introduced by EMI
- DiRAC: Direct antenna connection
- NFC Split Stack handling Time critical commands
- Less packet exchanged between NFC and MCU
- Customer accessible GPIOs

PTX105 SPI Mode MISO Pin Pulling Down
I am implementing a PTX105R circuit on a shared SPI data bus. When ALONE The PTX105 is confirmed functional and working perfectly and communicating with the host. When EVERYTHING ELSE is on the SPI bus, but PTX105 is removed, then everything else ALSO works perfectly. BUT - The PTX105 will not ...

Does not detect any tag.
... before I tried detecting TAG for the first time. Maybe something interesting. NFC IoT Tuner finds PTX100x instead of PTX105x. No sure what is the reason for that, but there is PTX105R IC on board Could not add any attachments for more detail. to Any help is more then welcome.
