Description

The US082-ZSSC3123EVZ board demonstrates the functionality and performance of the ZSSC3123 wide-range capacitive sensor. The board provides a standard Pmod™ Type 6A (extended I2C) connection, enabling the onboard sensor to interface with any compatible MCU evaluation kit equipped with a matching connector. The US082-ZSSC3123EVZ features Pmod connectors on both sides of the board, allowing additional Type 6/6A boards to be connected in a daisy-chain configuration with multiple devices sharing the same MCU Pmod connector. With its standard connector and software support, the US082-ZSSC3123EVZ is ideal for rapidly creating IoT systems using Renesas QuickConnect tools.

  • Maximum target input capacitance: 260pF
  • Sampling rates of up to 0.7ms at 8-bit, 1.6ms at 10-bit, 5.0ms at 12-bit, and 18.5ms at 14-bit resolution
  • Digital sensor compensation: piecewise first- and second-order sensor compensation, or up to third-order single-region sensor compensation
  • Digital compensation of first- and second-order temperature gain and offset drift
  • Internal temperature compensation reference (no external components required)
  • Programmable capacitance span and offset
  • Layout optimized for die-to-die bonding with the sensor, enabling low-cost, high-density chip-on-board assembly
  • Accuracy of up to ±0.25% full-scale output (FSO) over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C at 3V or 5V supply voltage (VSUPPLY ±10%)
