Description

Ear infections and related conditions, such as otitis media, are among the most common health issues in children worldwide. Accurate, high-resolution, and minimally invasive visualization of the middle ear canal is crucial for precise diagnosis and effective treatment.

This advanced digital otoscope (middle ear scope) system features a flexible design that can operate as either a wireless handheld device or a corded scope connected to a display station. The scope includes a controllable camera tip with integrated white LED illumination for enhanced visibility. It transmits high-resolution video to a display or mobile device, enabling precise examination of the middle ear.

System Benefits:

  • Full HD video display with H.264 and H.265 support, powered by a dual or quad Arm® Cortex®-A55 CPU, delivers crisp, real-time imaging for identifying obstructions or signs of infection in the ear canal.
  • Wi-Fi/Bluetooth® Low Energy module enables wireless video streaming to smartphones or tablets for mobile examination.
  • Onboard SD card support allows image capture and video recording for documentation, medical records, or patient education.
  • Optional AI-based inference with an Arm® Ethos™-U55 NPU enables real-time analysis to identify obstructions and infection symptoms, enhancing diagnostic support for clinicians.
