12V Motor Controller

Overview

Renesas' 12V small motor system provides an efficient BLDC motor controller, perfect for automotive pumps and fans. Utilizing a low-power automotive MCU, it supports field-oriented control (FOC) with 3-shunt and 1-shunt options and trapezoidal control. The highly integrated MCU ensures a compact, easily mountable design, reducing overall system size and simplifying installation within motor housings.

System Benefits:

  • Speed up development with a complete reference design (circuit diagram, PCB design, characteristic data) and three types of sample control software (FOC 3-shunt/1-shunt, trapezoidal)
  • Cost-efficient with a compact board size (60mm x 56mm) for easy incorporation into motor housings
