Wi-Fi Connected Retail Scale

Overview

Retail scales require reliable, high-speed wireless connectivity to ensure fast transactions and seamless inventory management. This design meets these requirements by integrating a Wi-Fi 6-enabled retail scale.

Wi-Fi 6 technology enables wireless transmission of weight data, supports multiple connected scales without performance loss, and ensures stable connections even in crowded environments. This design combines a SMARC SoM and mPCIe Wi-Fi 6 module on a carrier board.

System Benefits​:

  • Ready-to-use Wi-Fi 6 mPCIe board with all necessary components accelerates time to market.
  • 4x4 MIMO for Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11ax, compatible with 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, ensures fast data transfer and minimizes transaction delays.
  • The mPCIe form factor supports a compact design, high-speed data transfer, and easy upgrades or maintenance.
  • Operates on a single 3.3V power supply, with additional power rails generated on the module and 5V for the SMARC module.
