Video Output Expansion for Surround View & AR HUD

Overview

The R-Car automotive system-on-chip (SoC) and video processor enable surround view and augmented reality heads-up display (AR HUD) applications to handle video outputs and AI processing simultaneously, reducing system BOM cost and improving efficiency.

System Benefits​:

  • Easily expandable from existing R-Car automotive systems
  • Achieves high-accuracy AI image recognition using a SoC with CNN IP
  • Ensures functional safety up to ISO 26262 ASIL B with SoC and PMIC support
  • Integrates components from multiple Renesas R-Car systems into a compact CMIC, enabling product differentiation with lower cost and reduced PCB space
  • Enables cost-effective HD camera systems with AHL’s low-cost connectors and cables
  • Reduces system complexity with analog video transmission and no signal quality loss
  • Supports longer cable lengths for video data transmission in commercial vehicles and buses
